The Springeri Dottyback is also known as the Springer's Dottyback, Springeri Pseudochromis, or Springer's Pseudochromis. The Springeri Dottyback is primarily dark blue in colour with three vertical face bands of light blue and deep blue outlines on the fins. The Springeri Dottyback has a slender body. This slender body gives it the agility to jet in and out of rock work at a rapid pace. The Springeri Dottyback would stay in the hole waiting for the passing food. It has a semi-aggressive nature.

The Springeri Dottyback has an elusive nature, and they mostly stay in their crevice until it is time to feed. In nature it is lives among branching corals. It is capable of changing its sex. When eggs are laid, the male has the capability to pick up the eggs in its mouth, so that it could be aerated. The Springeri Dottyback preys on pests like bristleworms making it ideal for aquarium.

The Springeri Dottyback is perfectly safe for reef tanks and they accept most fish foods, but they should be the last fish to be introduced into the aquarium. The maintenance of this variety of fish is quite easy. Only one fish should be kept for one tank. The Springeri Dottyback needs an acclimation time of around two hours.
